An accessible format or communication is a method of presenting information in a specific format in order to remove potential barriers to accessing and understanding information. Fairstone understands that people with disabilities may require methods other than standard print to access information and are committed to providing accessible information and communication supports to our customers. What is BrowseAloud?BrowseAloud is a program that reads out the words on a website, highlighting the words as they are being read aloud. BrowseAloud is a tool for people who may find it difficult to read text online or for those who may have literacy problems and/or learning disabilities such as dyslexia. BrowseAloud allows you to "listen" to the contents of the web page you are viewing.
Once you have BrowseAloud installed on your computer, all you need to do is hover your cursor over a selection of text. BrowseAloud will highlight the words and read them out loud.

BrowseAloud offers the user a selection of international languages and voices. High-quality male and female voices are available and do not require the user to install any additional software.
Currently available languages are English, Dutch, French, French Canadian, German, Italian and Spanish.
